Dear Visitor,

You have clicked on the link that leads to the Kannada website on Cyber Laws and Cyber Crimes created by Naavi. Kannada is the language spoken by over 5 crore people in the southern state of Karnataka in India better known in the IT circles for Bangalore City, often referred to as the "Silicon Valley of India"

This is an unique experiment started on January 20, 2005 as one of the steps towards taking Cyber Law Awareness to masses.

This site will slowly accumulate content in Kannada and one day will hopefully be worthy of being called a "Portal". I hope this will be the beginning of a new phase in creating Kannada content in the subject of technical law. It is intended that this will be useful when Cyber Law College extends Cyber Law Certification Programmes for High School Students and Government Officials in Karnataka in due course.

This mission for "Mass Cyber Law Literacy" is part of the WSIS recommendations as well. Though the primary responsibility is that of the Government agencies in such ventures, like many other ventures of Naavi, this is a pilot programme in which hopefully the Government machineries will start taking interest.

It is intended that the recent publication of the book on Cyber Crimes in Kannada and the launching of this website will enable Naavi to further extend his efforts into the hinterland in Karnataka to spread the Cyber Law Awareness.

I would look forward to the support of other Government and Non Government agencies with similar interest so that the mission could be accomplished quickly.  I also welcome relevant articles in Kannada to be added to the site so that content can be enriched.

In case you are interested you can enter the site here.
